The short version

Most of what PonderBug stores lives in your own browser and never leaves your device — it’s how the game remembers today’s progress. We use no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers.

What’s stored on your device

• Your game progress and settings — today’s board, your streak, your theme choice. Kept in your browser’s local storage so the game works when you come back.
• A small anti-cheat token — a short-lived, secure cookie that keeps daily results fair. It expires on its own and isn’t used to track you.

Analytics

In production we use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics to understand which puzzles people enjoy and to catch errors — never to build advertising profiles or to sell data. The consent controls that govern this (including a way to opt out) are being finalized as part of the full policy, and we’ll honour the choices required in your region.

Managing storage

You can clear PonderBug’s local data at any time through your browser’s site-settings or “clear browsing data” controls. Doing so resets your local progress and preferences.
